The elegant Bristol 27 is equally at home on placid inland waters or the coast and the first owner plans to use her on the Thames and the Solent. She is built of strip plank yellow cedar epoxy with mahogany trim, and is powered by a 52hp Vetus diesel giving her a speed of 11knots.
Also designed for Star Yachts is the Bristol 22, a trailerable 22footer also of strip plank epoxy. She has a displacement hull driven by a 20hp Yanmar diesel and is also suitable for inland or coastal use. Their most recent launching is the Bristol 16 ‘Verity’, a classic open launch for use out of Salcombe, and currently in build is a 32ft twin screw sister ship for the same owner.
